21st October - Sightings

Bassett South - GLOSSY IBIS (1st Win Unringed) still this morning at least (J Harris et al) Also Peregrine, Garganey (J Harris)
Fisher's Mill - Garganey still (RBA). Presumed same bird as Bassett. Jack Snipe (J Harris)
Bassett North - Common Sandpiper, 2 Pintail, 7 Golden Plover, Chiffchaff (J Harris) GLOSSY IBIS flew south over North Pit 4.47pm (RBA)
Shustoke - 2 Yellow-Legged Gulls (2 Ads) in roost this evening but no sign of possible Franklin's Gull (L Johnson)

  1. It was the Stoke Crew (Nick Smith, his dad and Phil Jones) who had the 4-47 sighting. We were wandering back up to the car and stopped to look at the gulls on the north pit. While PJ was trying to save the day by finding the Franklins, i stood there and it came in low from the north and flew straight past us. There was only one birder left on site by this time and he was looking at his toes as he walked down. We lost it over the Fishers Mill sorry Feshers Mell pool.
