2nd December - Sightings


Long-Tailed Duck - Dave Hutton

Dosthill (Warks) - Long-Tailed Duck on main pit until mid-afternoon when flew to RSPB reserve (J Morgan et al) The Long-Tailed Duck appears to be a different bird to the one last month based on a darker plumage.No sign of presumed hybrid Ferruginous Duck x Pochard (Many Obs)
Shustoke - 2 Great-Northern Diver (both juvs) still but no sign of Common Scoter (Many Obs) Goosander(m) over (TP)
Kingsbury South - Yellow-Legged Gull(ad) still Bodymoor Heath Water (TP, J Allen)
Coton - Smew(m) mid morning but not later (per TP) Yellow-Legged Gull(ad) in pre-roost (TP, J Allen)
Tamworth35 Waxwing Hockley on Overwoods Road (per Birdguides) These are probably some of the Dosthill birds which weren't seen today as far as I know despite looking.
