20th April - Sightings

Tamworth - 2 Arctic Terns reported still Borrowpit Lake 7am (RBA) Later observers saw 2 Common Terns (Many Obs)
Bassett North - Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Yellow Wagtail this morning(L Johnson) 2 Black-Tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Common Sandpiper this evening (J Allen)
Dosthill NR -6 Reed Warbler (L Johnson, S Cawthray)
Fisher's Mill - Greenshank then flew North, 3 Dunlin (L Johnson)
Ladywalk - Black-Tailed Godwit, Whimbrel till mid afternoon only (S Cawthray, Bobby D) Also Curlew (S Cawthray)
Kingsbury South - 14+ Yellow Wagtail, White Wagtail in mowed grass by track to Hemlingford Water, 300+ Sand Martin, 20 House Martin (TP, M Yapp)
Kingsbury - Common Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, Common Tern, 3 Swift Cliff Pool (L Johnson) Black-Tailed Godwit till 12.30pm then flew South (per LJ) This is presumed to be Ladywalk bird.

7+ Grasshopper Warblers, 10+ Cetti's Warblers singing in Tame today (Many Obs)

  1. 14 Yellow Wags Hemlingford Water this evening after twitching those Arctic's, still open minded about that one though, they could have moved on I suppose.

    Quite a few House Martin whilst I was there (Hemlinford) this evening, 20.............
