5th September - Sightings

Ladywalk – Spotted Crake (bird is ringed) still. Also 9 Black-Tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, Spotted Flycatcher, Hobby (K Sargent, J Morgan et al)

Alvecote - Ruff, Green Sandpiper, 8 Little Egret Teal Pool. Hobby Mill Pool. Poss Scaup Gilman's Pool (J Morgan)

RSPB - 12 Black-Tailed Godwit, 6+ Ruff (up to 3 on Hall Lake), 2 Ringed Plover, Dunlin, 9 Snipe, 6 Curlew (flew West 5pm), 2 Green Sandpiper (Hall Lake), 5 Little Egret, 3 Hobby, Spotted Flycatcher (Mill Plantation) (Many Obs) Lesser-Spotted Woodpecker on feeders (S Pick)

4th September - Sightings

RSPB - Little Stint,  8 Black-Tailed Godwit, 6 Ruff Jubilee Wetlands. Also 6 Little Egret, 3 Hobby together (G Williams) 2 Ruff, Green Sandpiper Hall Lake (S Haynes)

Ladywalk – Spotted Crake still this evening(Many Obs) As is usual with crakes early morning and evening are best. The bird wasn't seen for 7 hours during the day.

3rd September - Sightings

Ladywalk - Spotted Crake viewable from Riverwalk hide till 7pm at least (S Haynes, P Casey et al) Unfortunately the bird has a broken wing. Also 10 Black-Tailed Godwit, Greenshank, Green Sandpiper today (Many Obs)
RSPB - 2 Greenshank, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, Green Sandpiper, 6 Ruff, Hobby (G Williams) 3 Ruff, Green Sandpiper Hobby Hall Lake this evening (TP, J Allen)

2nd September - Sightings

Ladywalk - Ringed Plover(juv), 11 Snipe, 200 House Martin (P Lichfield)

RSPB -  2 Shelduck, Hobby, 2 Common Tern, Ringed Plover, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Ruff Jubilee Wetlands. Ruff Hall Lake (G Williams)

RSPB - 3 Ruff, Green Sandpiper, Little Egret Hall Lake. 3 Ruff, Black-Tailed Godwit, Hobby, 5+ Little Egret Jubilee Wetlands (TP, J Allen et al) Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper (G Williams)The 2 groups of Ruff involve different birds.
