27th June - Sightings

RSPB - Green Sandpiper Hall Lake. Curlew North Pit. Green Sandpiper, Hobby, 3+ Grasshopper Warbler, Gadwall + 4 young (new brood) Jubilee Wetlands. 8 Avocet around site (TP, J Allen)

26th June - Sightings

RSPB - Wood Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper Hall Lake (Many Obs)

25th June - Sightings

24th June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Red Kite over Middleton Hall to West (K Thorpe)
Ladywalk - Green Sandpiper, 2 Redshank, 4 Teal, 8 Shoveler, 2 Little Egret, Goosander + 8 young (S Haynes)

23rd June - Sightings

RSPB - 9+ Avocet still. The 3 young from the first brood can now fly. Also Curlew (S Pick)

22nd June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Green Sandpiper Hall Lake still. Also 7+ Teal, Pochard(m), 10 Avocet on site (J Allen)

20th June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Green Sandpiper Hall Lake. Also brood of Gadwall (TP) Also Black-Tailed Godwit Jubilee Wetlands and 10 Avocet still on site (S Atkinson) A further 3 Godwit sp this evening (presumably Black-Tailed) (S Pick) Hobby over Heronry (A Russell)

17th June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Dunlin Jubilee Wetlands (S Pick) 10 Avocet on site in recent days (5 ads + 5 Young).

15th June - Sightings

RSPB - Mediterranean Gull (sum plum) over Fisher's Mill (K Thorpe)
Ladywalk - 3 Little Egret, Wigeon, 2nd brood of Gadwall (per P Sofley)

14th June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Chicks did hatch from second Avocet nest before it was inundated and are present this morning (S Pick) The second ever brood in Staffs!

13th June - Sightings

RSPB - sadly (once again) rising water levels this evening have flooded out a second Avocet nest just before they were expected to hatch (per S Pick)

12th June - Sightings

RSPB - 5 adult Avocet and 3 Young still during week. The adults have walked the remaining 3 young to the East Scrape (Many Obs) Red Kite over (K Thorpe)

8th June - Sightings

Ladywalk - Brood of 6 Gadwall in New Bay. Also Wigeon, Pochard, 6+ Little Egret, Shoveler(m) (per P Sofley)
RSPB - 2 Common Sandpiper still. Also 4 Avocet young and first LRP young today (G Williams)

7th June - Sightings

RSPB - 2 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper, Pr Gadwall + 7 Young Jubilee Wetlands. The 4 Avocet young still present (G Williams, TP et al)
Ladywalk - Mandarin(m) 'B' Pools. Also 2 Pochard (2m), Teal(m) (P Lichfield) 3-4 broods of Goosander along River Tame in general area (per S Haynes)

RSPB - Mandarin (m) Jubilee wetlands. Avocets + 4 Avocet young still North Pit (G Williams et al)

2nd June - Sightings

Shustoke - Little Tern, Arctic Tern (1st Sum) early evening but flew off (S Cawthray et al)
RSPB - Dunlin, 10 Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, 500+ Lesser Black-Backed Gull (K Sargent et al)
