28th November - Sightings

Shustoke - 2 Great-Northern Diver(ad,juv) , Common Scoter(fem) still (S Cawthray et al)
Dosthill - c50 Waxwing Ascot Drive (per Staffs Birding) 31 Waxwing in a tall tree by Felstead Close off Sefton Road at 3:30 this afternoon (G Williams)
Coton - 2 Mediterranean Gull (both ad) in roost (A Dean)

27th November - Sightings

Smew - Shustoke - Bob Duckhouse

Shustoke - 2 Great-Northern Diver(ad,juv) till dusk(J Harris et al). Common Scoter(fem) till dusk (P Hyde et al). Also Smew(m) until late morning when flew towards Coton/Kingsbury (Bobby D et al)
Alvecote - 30+ Siskin, Peregrine, 5000+ Starling (J Morgan)

Bodymoor Heath - 2 Brambling, Green Sandpiper (S Cawthray)
Whitacre Heath NR - 2 Woodcock (S Cawthray)
Coton - Mediterranean Gull, Water Rail (S Cawthray)
Dosthill - c25 Waxwing feeding in gardens along Sefton Road 11-12am this morning, present for a couple of days at least.  Peregrine over Dosthill Nature Reserve (Mike Pollard)

Whitacre Heath - 8 Golden Plover over to NW (K Wimbush)
Kingsbury South - 4 Goldeneye (G A Williams)

The Tame Valley is in heavy flood with many roads impassable.
